Hello Games are finally bringing their cozy puzzle titleThe Last Campfire to Steam on October 7. The game originally released for all consoles, iOS, and Epic Games Store in August of last year.
The Last Campfire is a gorgeous, heartfelt game that casts players as a soul named Ember, who must help forlorn souls find their purpose as they journey through an eerie but calm world. Players guide Ember across various landscapes, solve environmental puzzles, and learn more about the lives of those they’re helping. It’s quite a relaxing experience, as puzzles aren’t taxing nor time-sensitive, giving you plenty of time to admire the scenery and take in the emotional soundtrack.
Though the Epic Games Store release was The Last Campfire‘s first PC outing, this release marks the first time players on Steam can get their hands on it. Luckily, those who do decide to grab it on the new platform will be able to revel in all of the updates the game has received since launch, including performance improvements, framerate increases, controller support, 20% more puzzles to solve, the ability to revisit any puzzle at any time, and more.
If you didn’t catch The Last Campfire when it launched last year, you’ve really been missing out. You can change that when the game releases on Steam next month, or you can dive in right away on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, or Epic Games Store. Whatever you do, though, just don’t wait much longer to experience this sentimental fable.
